THE PERFECT AGE FOR NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY!

In this post I will talk only about posed newborn photography, because I do ONLY newborn posing photo sessions. I am not a lifestyle photographer 🤷‍♀️🙈

So, you would like to book a newborn photo session, but you have no idea what’s the perfect age? Many photographers only offer newborn shoots for babies aged 2 weeks or younger. I prefer to photograph babies when they are between 3 and 7 days old. So, if you’re expecting, don’t wait too long and start looking that one perfect photographer who will fit all your needs (I hope you will choose me 😍😊).

There are many reasons why you could miss this one week period:

➡️ Spending an extended time in the hospital because mom or baby needs additional care after birth➡️ Babies being born prematurely

➡️ The photographer falling ill and needing to postpone the session

➡️ You had no time (or simply forgot) to arrange the session before birth.

But, why is this one week period so important? 🤔When a new baby is aged one week or younger, they will still sleep a lot and will really enjoy spending time in all the fetal positions. That means they will feel comfortable in almost all the newborn photography poses. Their sleep is deep and they are not so sensitive to touches and moving around, wrapping, changing outfits etc.

I will also photograph older babies and in most of the cases I will get beautiful images as a result. But, from my personal experience, the younger the better. But, if you missed your newborn session, wait until your baby is 3-4 months old and come for a milestone session. I offer milestone sessions as well.
