PERSONAL BRANDING PHOTOS VS HEADSHOTS

Earlier I have compared headshots with business portraits, but there were some people who were asking what is personal branding photo, so I decided to explain.

So, what is a headshot? It’s a picture of the subject who is looking directly at the camera at a fairly formal standard pose. The hands may be crossed on the chest, on your waist or in your pockets. The subject will be captured just a little below the shoulders. And that’s basically all.

Personal branding photos can be done in the studio or outdoors. The results really depend on photographer’s style, so, before choosing one, just check the portfolio. The subject can look at the camera or way. And the poses are much more natural and casual. Here the subject can be captured just a little below the elbow, 3/4 length or full length body.
