You should not leave your newborn photo session booking for the last moment. One of the main reasons is that the photographer you have chosen might not have an available spot for you.

I have to plan a session ahead of time. I need at least 2 hours to work with the setups and to plan the little outfits and props, to work with colors that you love and the colors that you would like to avoid. I even need to think over how will I pose the baby alone, the baby with parents and the baby with siblings, if there are any.

There are plenty of details that need to be discussed. There are papers that need to be read and signed. You need to know how to prepare to the session, what to bring with you, what outfits to choose for you and your older children.

There’s a lot of teamwork before and during the session. That is why I cannot accept clients that are trying to book at the last moment.

Dear expecting mommies, please book your session at least a few months before your due date. Don’t stress yourself and your photographer.
