Let’s make it clear once and for all. Professional photography is professional photography. Period. It has nothing to do with the pictures that you take on your phone and adding filters to them, so they could look more “instagrammy”.

I am post processing my images from scratch. I am using the digital tools to adjust everything from colour balance to sharpness and saturation. It takes time. And, of course, it took time to understand how to use the digital tools.

If you are an instagrammer you are applying easy-to-use filters. There’s nothing run about it because your photos will pop out anyway. But the difference between an amateur and a professional is visible.
