
Professional photographers don’t use filters. Never. Only if these filters were invented by themselves and they know exactly how to apply them and with what purpose they do it.
Of course it would be much easier for us to use filters, because it’s a 5 minutes job. But that means our works wouldn’t be unique. And that would mean that we are not professionals.
I usually spend between 60 to 90 minutes on post-processing just one image. And if I need to provide to my client a gallery of 15-20 fully edited images, that means that I have to spend hours at my computer.
Have you met photographers that charge a lot and don’t post-process your images, but are just applying filters? Do you think that is fair?
