That happens from time to time. I’m gonna be honest with you, it’s really stressful. The parents expect to see beautiful pictures in their gallery, but it becomes impossible when the baby is crying/not sleeping etc. There are many reasons why a baby is hectic and fidgety, like tummy aches, gas, vaccines etc. Or the baby is just too sensitive. And there is nothing you can do about it. Sometimes it is so bad, that I have to reschedulle the photo session. Happy to say that this does not happen often.
Usually if a baby is too sensitive and if for any reason I can’t get him/her to a deep sleep, I am using the wraps. But I need a sleeping baby to do that. I don’t want to force the little hands and feet and I have to be very gentle to not hurt the baby. Once the baby is wrapped I can pose him/her in a basket, crate etc. But one set up is never enough to fill the gallery. The best solution for me in that case is to do a composite image. And not one, but a few.
I do not make the digital backdrops myself. I prefer to buy them.
This images are composites as well. Usually I am cutting out the baby with the fure and paste it in the digital backdrop. Also I am changing the color of the headband and wrap if it’s possible at all.
I really love how the result looks. Don’t you agree?
